David Mellor enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 2007 as an infantryman. He served two combat deployments with 3rd Battalion 3rd Marines first in Iraq in 2009 then once again in Afghanistan in 2010. After his military service, he attended Hawaii Pacific University followed by Southern New Hampshire University where he earned a B.S in criminal justice. While attending college David fulfilled his lifelong goal of becoming a full-time Police Officer in his home state of Massachusetts. David served approximately nine years on the force attending many classes/training including and specializing in areas such as Field Training Officer and Drug Recognition Expert. He was awarded a life-saving medal in June of 2021. In July of 2021, David retired from law enforcement and moved to Texas with his family. Now, as a disabled veteran, David is working to contribute his years of experience to aid veterans, first responders, and their loved ones towards improved mental and financial wellbeing.
