LIEUTENANT COLONEL (RET.) JEROME MILLER

 Lieutenant Colonel (Ret.) Jerry Miller is a native of Warren, Pennsylvania, and currently resides in Colleyville, Texas. He was commissioned as an Infantry Officer in the U.S. Army in 1988 after earning a four-year ROTC scholarship to the University of Pittsburgh.

Following completion of the Infantry Officer Basic Course and Ranger School, LTC Miller was assigned as a Rifle Platoon Leader with 1-36 Infantry in Friedberg, West Germany. In 1990, he deployed to Saudi Arabia in support of Operation Desert Shield and later participated in the VII Corps assault into Iraq during Operation Desert Storm. He went on to serve for three years as a Ranger Instructor and Desert Warfare Subject Matter Expert (SME) with the Ranger Training Brigade.


After leaving active duty in 1996, LTC Miller continued his service in the U.S. Army Reserve as an Infantry Rifle Company Commander with the 314th Infantry Regiment. He later transferred to the Pennsylvania Army National Guard’s 28th Infantry Division, where he served in a range of leadership roles including Rifle Company Commander, Battalion S-3, Battalion Executive Officer, Commander of the 1-112th Stryker Infantry Battalion, and Deputy Commander of the 2nd Brigade Combat Team.


His military deployments include Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq, Kosovo, Bosnia, and Lithuania. LTC Miller retired from military service in 2008.


Following his military career, LTC Miller transitioned into the oil and energy sector, holding leadership positions with United Refining Company, Husky Energy, and HF Sinclair Oil Company. He served as Refinery Manager of the Lima, Ohio, facility for four years and later retired as an executive with HF Sinclair in Dallas, Texas.


He has been married to his wife, Amy, for 32 years, and they are the proud parents of four adult children.

Master of Business Administration, Pennsylvania State University
Graduate, U.S. Army Command and General Staff College


Military Awards & Decorations:
Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Expert Infantry Badge, Ranger Tab, and Parachutist Badge.
