Mike Szklanny

Operating as a key leader in the emerging E-Sports industry, Michael Szklanny made his mark by providing expert knowledge in program management. Throughout his multi-year tenure at Immortals Gaming Club, Michael created efficient processes that led to team success and sustainable company practices. Throughout his career he continued to promote outreach for the industry and for marginalized communities by speaking at Universities and promoting the validity of esports as a career. Michael has since employed individuals from across the world including Azerbaijan and Korea alongside creating the first Great Lakes based all Female esports team. As an expert in the field, he has been nominated for numerous awards including Esports Coach of the Year in 2019 and Overwatch League Coach of the Year in 2020.  As a General Manager, Michael pulls from his enlisted experience in the Marine Corps to provide dynamic leadership. Serving 2 combat deployments in Afghanistan (2011-2012), Michael continues to honor his commitment to the Corps and his fellow service members by actively engaging in community outreach for veterans and continues that commitment with Combat Connect.
